HP unveils OMEN MAX 45L, 35L with Core Ultra 270K Plus, RTX 5090, expands OMEN AI

HP has announced a new lineup of HyperX-branded OMEN gaming desktops alongside updates to its OMEN AI and OMEN Gaming Hub platforms at its HP Imagine 2026 event in New York. The announcement includes the HyperX OMEN MAX 45L, HyperX OMEN 35L, expanded AI-driven game optimisation support, and new creative tools integrated into the OMEN ecosystem.

HyperX OMEN MAX 45L targets high-end gaming and expandability

The HyperX OMEN MAX 45L is described by HP as its most powerful Intel-based gaming desktop to date. It can be configured with up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 graphics, alongside up to 128GB of DDR5 memory.

HP claims up to a 10% performance improvement over the previous generation based on internal testing. The system also features the second generation of HP’s Cryo Chamber cooling design and support for up to a 360mm liquid cooler, aimed at maintaining sustained performance during extended gaming sessions.

The desktop is built with modular components, toolless access, and standardised parts to support upgrades over time.

HyperX OMEN 35L focuses on accessibility and flexibility

Alongside the flagship model, HP introduced the HyperX OMEN 35L, a more accessible gaming desktop aimed at users who want upgrade flexibility without moving into extreme configurations.

It supports similar processor options, including the Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, paired with up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 graphics. The system is designed with a simplified internal layout and thermal design intended to balance performance with quieter operation.

HP is also emphasising long-term upgradeability through industry-standard components and tool-free access.

OMEN AI expands support to more games

HP’s OMEN AI software is now expanding to support additional titles, including Minecraft, Roblox, and Marvel Rivals. The feature offers one-click performance optimisation by adjusting system, hardware, and in-game settings.

According to HP’s internal testing, Minecraft saw up to a 50% improvement in frame rates with OMEN AI enabled, although results are expected to vary depending on hardware and configuration.

The system uses machine learning to refine performance settings over time based on usage patterns.

OMEN Gaming Hub adds AI-powered creative tools

The OMEN Gaming Hub is also receiving new integrations aimed at content creation and communication. Through partnerships with HeyGen and Voicemod, users can generate AI-based video content, create translated clips, and apply real-time voice modulation.

HP states that these additions are intended to extend the platform beyond performance tuning into broader gaming and creator workflows.

Availability

The HyperX OMEN MAX 45L and OMEN 35L are expected to be available via HP’s website starting May 2026. Pricing details have not yet been disclosed. OMEN AI and OMEN Gaming Hub are available on supported HP systems and can also be downloaded via the Microsoft Store.
