Honor is preparing to launch a new budget-friendly smartphone for global markets called the Honor 400 Smart. It will join the existing 400 series lineup, which currently includes the Honor 400 and 400 Pro. The device has now received approval from the Global Certification Forum (GCF), along with another model named Honor X7d. Interestingly, both phones carry the same model number, LGN-NX1, hinting that they could be rebranded versions of the same device for different regions.

As seen in the certification listing, the upcoming Honor device is expected to debut as the Honor 400 Smart in some markets and the Honor X7d in others. While the GCF listing does not reveal any specifications, more details are likely to surface through additional certifications and leaks in the coming weeks.

To recall, Honor launched the Honor 200 Smart in September 2024. Although the brand later introduced the Honor 300 series, it skipped a 300 Smart variant. As a result, the Honor 400 Smart will serve as the successor to the 200 Smart.

The Honor 200 Smart features a 6.8-inch TFT LCD display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The device houses a 5,200mAh battery with support for 35W fast charging.

For photography, the 200 Smart offers a 5-megapixel front camera and a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Other features include MagicOS 8 based on Android 14, stereo speakers, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
