Honor is gearing up to unveil the Honor 600 series of smartphones for the global market. A recently seen GCF certification revealed that the Honor 600 and 600 Pro have the model numbers VKJ-NX9 and VKP-NX9, respectively. Both phones have also been spotted on TUV certification, revealing support for IP68/69-level dust and water resistance.
For those who don’t know, while the Honor 500 series is available in China, it has been skipped for the global market. In a new development, the Honor 600 has appeared on Geekbench, revealing key details about its chipset and RAM.
Honor 600 Geekbench listing
To recall, the Honor 400 was equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. The above screenshot confirms that its successor will come equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. As usual, the name of the chip is not directly mentioned, but the CPU model number SM7750 clearly indicates that it is powered by the SD7G4.
The Geekbench listing further states that the device has 8GB of RAM and Android 16, which is likely to have the MagicOS 10 skin on top. In the single-core and multi-core tests, the device recorded 1318 and 4075 points, respectively.
Honor 600 specifications (rumoured)
According to recent reports, the Honor 600 has a 6.57-inch OLED screen offering a 1.5K resolution along with a 120Hz refresh rate. Both devices may feature a 200-megapixel primary camera and may house a massive 9,000mAh battery.
Honor is also working on the Honor 600 and 600 Pro for China. Reports suggest that the Chinese variants could be far superior to their global versions.
Xpert Take
While the Honor 600 series appear quite promising like its previous generation, an India launch remains doubtful. The brand has been inactive since last year, and there is no update on whether it will actively launch new phones this year.
There are some rumours about major brands either exiting or restructuring their product portfolios this year. In such a scenario, the inactive Honor brand in India may not make a comeback anytime soon.
