Huawei recently unveiled the Pura 80 series of smartphones in China. The lineup includes four models — the Pura 80, Pura 80 Pro, Pura 80 Pro+, and Pura 80 Ultra. The brand has confirmed that the Pura 80 lineup will be announced globally on July 10. Ahead of the launch, the alleged Huawei Pura 80 series phones have appeared in the databases of the EEC and Bluetooth SIG certification platforms.

Huawei Pura 80 series phones receive multiple certifications

  • A new Huawei device with model number LMR-LX9 has received approval from certification bodies such as EEC (Europe), TUV, and Bluetooth SIG.
  • For those unfamiliar, the Pura 80 Pro carries the model number LMR-AL00, while the Pro+ and Ultra editions bear the LMR-AL10 model number.
  • Therefore, the LMR-LX9 is likely part of the Pura 80 family.
  • Additionally, LMR-L29 and LMR-L09 devices have also surfaced in the Bluetooth SIG database.
  • These models also appear to be part of the Pura 80 series.

The Pura 80 series will likely show up in more certifications before the global launch. The major highlight of the series is the Pura 80 Ultra’s camera system, which features a 1-inch 50-megapixel main sensor with a variable aperture and a unique dual-lens switchable telephoto camera offering optical zoom capabilities.

While camera hardware takes centre stage, the entire lineup is powered by Huawei’s in-house Kirin 9020 chip. The phones run on HarmonyOS NEXT in China, while the global variants are expected to ship with EMUI.
