After launching the iQOO 15 in November 2025, iQOO is gearing up to expand the lineup by announcing the iQOO 15R. While the iQOO 15 debuted with a price tag of Rs 72,999 in India, the 15R appears to be positioned as a more affordable flagship offering.
iQOO 15R design teased
The iQOO India CEO has shared a new post on X, confirming that the iQOO 15R will be “coming soon” to India. The teaser reveals a squircle-shaped camera module featuring a horizontal dual-camera layout, with the LED flash placed outside the camera module.
The grey variant shown in the teaser sports a distinctive checkered rear design. The phone appears to have a flat frame with rounded corners and is expected to feature a flat display on the front. The teaser also confirms that the device will ship with OriginOS 6.
iQOO 15R specifications (rumoured)
Rumours suggest that the iQOO 15R could be based on the iQOO Z11 Turbo, which is available in China. The Z11 Turbo features a 6.59-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It packs a large 7,600mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
In terms of cameras, the Z11 Turbo offers a 32-megapixel front camera and a dual rear camera setup comprising a 200-megapixel Samsung HP5 primary sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. Additional features include an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, dual speakers, an X-axis linear motor, a metal middle frame, a glass back, and IP68 and IP69-rated dust and water resistance.
Xpert Take
The iQOO 15R is shaping up to be a strong rival to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5-powered OnePlus 15R available in India, indicating that it could arrive at a similar price point. It is also expected to compete with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5-powered Motorola Signature, which is launching later this week in India and is tipped to be priced around Rs 84,999.
Overall, the iQOO 15R looks like an exciting option for users seeking flagship-level performance with capable cameras, potentially priced around Rs 50,000.
