Motorola is preparing to expand its G series lineup with the launch of the new G56 smartphone. It will succeed the G55, which was launched in August last year. Today, we have spotted the upcoming G56 on the EPTO website. Interestingly, the smartphone is also listed on eBay in France and Italy.
These early appearances confirm that the G56 will feature a 6.6-inch FHD+ display, which aligns with Motorola’s trend of offering large screens in its G series lineup. The device is also shown to come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, suggesting a focus on providing decent performance in the mid-range segment.
Furthermore, the listings shed light on the potential pricing of the G56. On eBay France, the smartphone is listed at around EUR 291.72 (roughly Rs 28,000), and on eBay Italy, it is listed at EUR 323.61 (roughly Rs 31,000). On the other hand, the EPTO website shows EUR 272.90 (roughly Rs 26,000) for the Pantone Dill and Pantone Black Oyster colour options, and EUR 257.90 (roughly Rs 25,000) for the Pantone Dazzling Blue colour option. However, pricing in India is usually comparatively lower than in the European market, so we can expect the upcoming G56 to cost around Rs 25,000 in India.
Moto G56 Key Specifications Confirmed
Interestingly, Motorola itself accidentally confirmed much of this information by mistakenly listing the G56 on its official websites in Czechia and Slovakia the other day. Though the listings were quickly pulled down, screenshots confirm that the phone will come in Pantone Dazzling Blue, Pantone Dill, Pantone Grey Mist, and Pantone Black Oyster colourways.
The listing also revealed that the device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage. On the camera front, it will sport a 50MP Sony Lytia LYT-600 main sensor, a 32MP selfie shooter, and pack a 5,200mAh battery with 30W fast charging.
Other highlights include IP68/IP69 ratings, MIL-STD-810H ruggedness, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection, making it a surprisingly well-equipped phone in the affordable segment.
