Exclusive: Motorola Razr 70 Ultra CAD renders, 360-degree video revealed for the first time

Recent reports have revealed that Motorola could be gearing up to launch the Razr 70 series. Certification listings have revealed that the lineup includes two models: the Razr 70 and Razr 70 Ultra.

Recently, the Razr 70 appeared on China’s TENAA certification platform, revealing its images and key specifications. However, details about the Razr 70 Ultra have yet to surface. Now, we at XpertPick have collaborated with Steve Hemmerstoffer (OnLeaks) to reveal the first details of the Ultra variant, including its design through a 360-degree video and CAD renders.

As per OnLeaks, the upcoming Motorola Razr 70 Ultra will measure roughly 171.3 x 74.1 x 7.8 mm unfolded (around 9.6 mm with the camera bump) and 88.0 x 74.1 x 15.8 mm folded (up to 17.63 mm including cameras). In comparison, the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra is slightly slimmer at 7.2 mm unfolded and 15.7 mm folded. This indicates that the new model could be noticeably thicker, likely due to camera hardware or the inclusion of a larger battery, while the height and width remain almost unchanged. So, the overall feel in hand should stay familiar, with just a bit more bulk.

He also revealed that the Motorola Razr 70 Ultra will sport a 7-inch inner foldable display and a 4-inch cover screen. To recall, the Razr 60 Ultra also features a 7-inch inner and 4-inch outer display.

As can be seen in the above renders, the left side of the Razr 70 Ultra features the Moto AI button, whereas the right spine has buttons for volume and power. Its bottom edge has a microphone, a speaker grille, a USB-C port, and a SIM slot, whereas the opposite edge has a secondary microphone.

Overall, the Razr 70 Ultra’s design remains largely unchanged compared to the previous generation. Hopefully, upcoming reports will shed more light on its other specifications.

Xpert take

While there may not be major overhaul improvements in the Razr 70 series, it will still focus on refinement. The design, dimensions, and display sizes suggest a familiar experience, with Motorola likely prioritising incremental upgrades such as improved cameras, better durability, or a larger battery rather than drastic changes.

The Motorola Razr 70 Ultra will be a major rival to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, which is expected to debut in July this year. At present, there is no confirmed information about the Razr 70 Ultra’s launch timeframe. However, the series will likely debut first in China before heading to other markets in the following weeks.
