Nothing recently confirmed that the Phone (4a) will be its next smartphone series to hit the market. According to reports, the lineup will comprise two models, the Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro. Both devices have been consistently bagging new certifications in different countries, including India. In a new development, both models have received approval from Europe’s EEC certification.
Nothing Phone (4a) series EEC certified

The above screengrab reveals that two upcoming Nothing phones with model numbers A069 and A069P have been approved by the EEC. While the listing does not specify their final monikers, reports claim that these will be called the Nothing Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro when they arrive in the market.
While the company has claimed that the Phone (4a) lineup will deliver close to flagship performance, there is no concrete information about their specifications. Vague reports have revealed that both phones will feature a Snapdragon 7-series chip and UFS 3.1 storage. The Pro edition is expected to arrive with eSIM compatibility.
The series is said to arrive with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage. It is expected to arrive in four shades, such as black, white, blue, and pink.
Nothing has also confirmed that it will not be launching the Nothing Phone 4 flagship phone this year. So, the 4a series may include the standard, Pro, and a Lite-branded model, which may arrive a bit later.
Xpert Take
Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro came with interesting specifications, with the Pro model offering a periscope telephoto camera for higher optical zoom. However, despite being priced around Rs 25,000, the device lacked OIS support for its primary and telephoto cameras.
Hopefully, the Phone (4a) Pro will offer OIS at least for the primary camera. Rumours suggest that the lineup will debut in March this year. Like the previous generation, the Phone (4a) series is expected to receive a decent response from critics and general users.
