Oppo K14 5G launches in India with 7,000 mAh battery and Dimensity 6300 SoC starting at ₹17,999

Oppo has launched the K14 5G in India, expanding its K-series lineup with a focus on battery endurance and long-term usability. The smartphone will go on sale starting March 20 via Flipkart and the Oppo e-store, with introductory offers including up to ₹1,000 instant discount and no-cost EMI options.

The Oppo K14 5G starts at ₹17,999 for the 6 GB + 128 GB variant, while the 6 GB + 256 GB and 8 GB + 256 GB configurations are priced at ₹19,999 and ₹21,999, respectively. The device will be available in Icy Blue, Prism Violet, and Prism White colour options.

Focus on battery endurance and charging

The highlight of the device is its 7,000 mAh battery, which Oppo claims is designed for extended daily usage across calling, streaming, and navigation. The company states the phone can deliver up to 18.9 hours of YouTube playback and over 22 hours of voice calling under typical conditions.

The device supports 45 W SuperVOOC fast charging, which is said to charge the battery from 1% to 37% in 30 minutes, with a full charge taking around 92 minutes. Oppo also highlights long-term battery durability, claiming the battery is designed to retain performance over multiple years of use.

Display, durability, and build

The Oppo K14 5G features a 6.75-inch display with a peak brightness of up to 1,125 nits and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It also supports features such as Splash Touch and Glove Touch for usability in wet conditions or while wearing gloves.

On the durability front, the device carries SGS 5-star certification and MIL-STD-810H military-grade testing. It also comes with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for resistance against dust and water, including high-pressure jets.

Performance and software

The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and runs ColorOS 15. Oppo says the system includes its Trinity Engine for resource management and long-term smoothness, along with up to 60 months of fluency protection.

To maintain stable performance, the device includes a vapor chamber cooling system with a 3,900 mm² VC area and graphite layers for heat dissipation during gaming and multitasking.

Cameras and AI features

The Oppo K14 5G features a 50 MP primary camera paired with a 2 MP monochrome sensor, along with an 8 MP front-facing camera. The camera system is supported by AI-based features such as AI Eraser 2.0, AI Recompose, and AI Clarity Enhancer for improving shots and removing unwanted elements.

Additional features include Dual-View Video recording and portrait optimisation tools designed to enhance subject detection and background blur.

Availability and positioning

With its large battery, durability certifications, and mid-range chipset, the Oppo K14 5G appears positioned as a long-endurance device for everyday use rather than performance-heavy workloads. The phone will be available for purchase starting March 20 through online channels in India.
