Earlier this month, Poco unveiled the Poco M8 5G as the company’s first phone for the year 2026. With a starting price of Rs 21,999, the M8 offers interesting features such as a 120Hz AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 6-series chip, decent cameras, long software support, and a durable build. Starting today, the device is up for purchase in India.

The Poco M8 5G is available through Flipkart in three variants, including 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB. These models are priced at Rs 18,999, Rs 19,999, and Rs 21,999, respectively.
Today, buyers can avail a flat discount of Rs 1,000 on all variants. Apart from this, customers can also benefit from a Rs 2,000 instant discount through ICICI, HDFC, and SBI Bank credit and debit cards. The phone is available in shades such as Forest Silver, Carbon Black, and Glacial Blue.
Poco M8 5G specifications
Starting from the front, the Poco M8 5G features a 6.77-inch AMOLED FHD+ display offering a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,200 nits of peak brightness. The device runs on HyperOS 2 based on Android 15 and is promised four years of OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
The Poco M8 5G has a 20-megapixel front camera, while the rear houses a 50-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, paired with LPDDR4x RAM, UFS 2.2 storage, and a 5,520mAh battery that supports 45W wired charging and 18W reverse charging.
The Poco M8 5G also offers a microSD card slot, dual speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, dual SIM 5G support, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, an IR blaster, and a USB-C port. For durability, it carries MIL-STD-810H certification along with IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance.
Xpert Take
While the Poco M8 5G is a decent package for those looking for an all-rounder mid-range 5G phone, the ongoing launch offers make it even more enticing. It would have been good to see OIS support on the primary camera. However, the phone stands out for offering long-term software support, which is commendable in this segment.
