Redmi is reportedly working on the Redmi 15 series of smartphones. The lineup is expected to include four models, comprising 4G and 5G versions of the Redmi 15 and Redmi 15C smartphones. Among these, the rumour mill has already leaked details about the Redmi 15C 4G, but the specifications of the other three phones are still under wraps.

Two of the upcoming Xiaomi phones with model numbers 2508CRN2BC and 25082RNC1C have received CMIIT certification in China. Here’s a look at what to expect from these devices.

The CMIIT-certified 2508CRN2BC device appears to be the China variant of the Redmi 15C 5G. This assumption is based on XiaomiTime’s recent report that the Redmi phone with model number 2508CRN2BI was spotted in the IMEI database with the Redmi 15C 5G moniker.

The same report revealed that the Redmi 15C 5G has Indian, Japanese, European (EEA), and global versions with model numbers such as 2508CRN2BI, 2508CRN2BR, 2508CRN2BE, and 2508CRN2BG.

It also revealed that the Poco C85 5G will be a rebranded version of the Redmi 15C 5G. The M8’s Indian edition has the 2508CPC2BI model number.

At present, there is no information available about the other Xiaomi / Redmi phone with model number 25082RNC1C, which has also been approved by the CMIIT. Hopefully, upcoming reports will shed more light on the 25082RNC1C phone.

As mentioned above, concrete details are currently available only for the Redmi 15C 4G among the Redmi 15 family. This device is expected to feature a 6.9-inch HD+ 120Hz screen, a MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra chip, a 6,000mAh battery with 33W charging, a 13-megapixel front camera, and a 50-megapixel dual-camera setup. It measures 8.2mm in thickness and weighs 205 grams. It is expected to arrive in shades like black, blue, green, and orange.
