Usually, the devices that appear in the FCC’s database are expected to hit the market soon. The same is expected from the Galaxy A17 5G, which has been approved by the FCC authority. The listing has revealed a few key details about the connectivity features and charging capabilities of the A17. The handset is expected to succeed the Dimensity 6300-powered Galaxy A16 5G, which debuted in October last year.

- Recently, a Samsung phone with model number variants such as SM-A176B/DS, SM-A176N, SM-A176U, and SM-A176U1 was spotted by 91mobiles in the database of Finland’s SGS Fimko certification.
- Now, the SM-A176B/DS, which is the global version of the device with dual SIM support, has appeared in the FCC’s database.
- The FCC listing reveals that the device supports connectivity features like 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.3 + LE, and NFC. It also seems to be equipped with a microSD card slot.
- The device is expected to ship with an EP-TA800 charger, and the “Status Information” image reveals the device will support 25W (9V/2.77A) charging.
- The SGS Fimko listing revealed that it may feature a 5,000mAh battery.
- The SM-A176N is the South Korean variant of the device, whereas SM-A176U and SM-A176U1 are the US-bound variants.
- Galaxy A17 5G rumours have claimed that it will feature a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support.
- It is also expected to run on Android 15 with a layer of One UI 7.0 on top.
The Galaxy A16 5G was introduced in India with a price tag of Rs 18,999. Therefore, the A17 is expected to release in India with a sub-Rs 20,000 price tag.
