
Samsung is reportedly working on new mid-range phones, such as the Galaxy A17 (4G) and Galaxy M36 5G. The A17 has been spotted in Geekbench’s database, indicating that the company could be internally testing its performance before launch. The A17 is expected to succeed the Galaxy A16 (4G), which debuted in November 2024.

Samsung Galaxy A17 4G Geekbench listing

- As can be seen above, a Samsung phone with model number SM-A175F has surfaced in Geekbench’s database.
- The Galaxy A16 (4G) has the SM-A165F model number, which suggests that the device that has emerged in Geekbench is the upcoming Galaxy A17 (4G). Additionally, the motherboard field of the listing mentions “a17,” giving a hint about its moniker.
- The Geekbench listing suggests that the Galaxy A17 is powered by a MediaTek chip that includes six performance cores working at 2.20GHz and two efficiency cores clocking at 2.00GHz. The source code of the listing reveals that the chip includes the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
- Based on the chipset details, it can be said that the Galaxy A17 (4G) could be equipped with the Helio G99.
- The SoC is joined by 4GB of RAM, and the device runs on Android 15. In the single-core and multi-core tests, the device scored 730 and 1982 points, respectively.

Samsung Galaxy M36 5G Bluetooth SIG certified

- To recall, the device was recently spotted at India’s BIS certification platform and Geekbench.
- The Geekbench listing revealed that the M36 could be equipped with the Exynos 1380 chipset, 6GB RAM, and Android 15.
- The same device is likely to get rebranded as the Samsung Galaxy Jump 4 in the South Korean market.
In related news, Samsung is also said to be working on the Galaxy F36. Early speculations suggest that it could be a rebranded version of the M36. While the M36 could be made available via Amazon in India, the F36 could be sold through Flipkart.
