
Samsung is expected to hold its next Galaxy Unpacked event in July to announce new foldable phones and smartwatches. Apart from the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, the brand is also expected to unveil an affordable flip phone named Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. The official name of the “FE” model is still under wraps and is also being referred to with other names, such as the Galaxy Z Flip FE and the Galaxy Z Flip Xe in recent reports.
Ahead of the expected launch, the Galaxy Z-series trio has received approval from the CMIIT authority of China. The source code of these listings (except the Fold 7) has revealed the rated value capacities of the batteries that power these foldables.
Galaxy Z Flip FE, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Fold 7 CMIIT certified
- As can be seen, the MIIT authority in China has approved upcoming Samsung phones with the following model numbers: SM-F7610, SM-F7660, and SM-F9660.
- These model numbers respectively belong to the Chinese variants of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Fold 7.
- The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE has a 2,790+1,097mAh dual-cell battery, which means it has a 3,887mAh (rated value) battery.
- The Galaxy Z Flip 7 houses a 1,189+2,985mAh dual-cell battery, which means it packs a 4,174mAh (rated value) battery.
- The source code information on the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s CMIIT listing was not available at the time of writing this post.
- However, the Z Fold 7 CMIIT listing does confirm support for satellite connectivity.
- According to reports, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will feature a 4,400mAh battery (typical value).
- To recall, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE and Z Fold 7 were spotted at China’s 3C certification with a 25W charger in March of this year.
- There’s a possibility that the typical values of the Z Flip 7 FE and Flip 7’s batteries could be around 4,000mAh and 4,300mAh, respectively.
