However, in the Chinese market, the company is known for launching W-series foldable phones, which are more luxurious versions of the Z-series available in other markets. A new certification suggests that the South Korean tech giant could be gearing up to unveil the Samsung W26 in China.
Samsung W26 3C certified
- The above screenshot reveals that a forthcoming Samsung phone with the SM-W9026 model number has received 3C certification in China.
- It will support the EP-TA800 power adapter, which supports up to 25W charging. However, the power brick will not be included in the retail package of the device.
- The 3C listing also reveals that the device will support satellite connectivity.
- The listing has no information about the final marketing name of the device.
- To recall, last year’s Samsung W25 carried the SM-W9025 model number.
- Therefore, it is likely that the SM-W9026 device will be called the Samsung W26 when it debuts in China.
- At present, it is unclear whether the Samsung W26 will be based on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 or the successor to the Galaxy Z Fold SE from last year.
