Vivo T4 Ultra Battery Test: Comparison with Realme GT 7, iQOO Neo 10, and OnePlus 13R

The Vivo T4 Ultra recently debuted in India, featuring the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor. The phone also has triple rear cameras, which include a 50MP primary, a 50MP telephoto, and an 8MP ultrawide lens. This setup is powered by a 5500mAh battery, and the device is priced at just Rs 37,999.

The mid-range smartphone segment is currently boiling with competition, with several brands offering high-performance and large-battery phones at aggressive prices. After testing over 40+ devices this year alone, we have curated a comparison of smartphones offering the best battery life under Rs 40,000.

Here’s how the battery of the Vivo T4 Ultra stands against the Realme GT 7, iQOO Neo 10, and the OnePlus 13R.

Battery Drain Test

To test the battery endurance of each device, we conducted the PCMark Battery Test. It plays a video loop until the phone runs out of power. We began testing with all devices fully charged to 100%.

Vivo T4 Ultra battery test

The Realme GT 7 topped the charts, where it lasted 23 hours and 11 minutes of continuous video playback on a single charge. This was, however, not surprising, considering that it has the largest battery of 7000mAh among all phones in this comparison. The device also features the power-efficient Dimensity 9400e processor, which further enhances its capabilities.

The iQOO Neo 10 quickly follows, lasting 22 hours and 20 minutes. It has the same battery capacity as the Realme GT 7 but features the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. The one-hour gap between the two phones can arise due to different processors and software optimization, and Realme surely has an edge here.

Results from the OnePlus 13R were highly impressive, as it lasted 19 hours and 38 minutes, even with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This is the most powerful chip on this list, and despite its comparatively smaller 6000mAh battery size, the 13R does well to come close to the Realme GT 7 and the iQOO Neo 10.

The Vivo T4 Ultra lasted for 17 hours and 29 minutes. While the numbers suggest that the device did not last long enough, the 5500mAh battery capacity and sleek form factor make this score highly respectable. You can easily extract an entire day of usage from the Vivo T4 Ultra and consistently gain 6-7 hours of screen-on time.

Charging Test

After draining each device, we used the bundled charger to do a complete 0-100% charging test. Here are the results:

  • The iQOO Neo 10 took just 35 minutes, which is extremely fast for this massive battery capacity.
  • The Vivo T4 Ultra was fully charged in 42 minutes using the 90W Flash Charger. This is a little slower due to the quicker speeds of the iQOO Neo 10.
  • The Realme GT 7 took 47 minutes for a full charge, even though it has the same battery capacity and 120W charging speed as the iQOO Neo 10.
  • The OnePlus 13R took exactly 1 hour. This was a bit disappointing, as we had expected the device to complete a full charge in around 50 minutes, based on its 80W SuperVOOC charging and 6000mAh battery capacity.

The iQOO Neo 10 sets really high standards for fast charging in the sub-Rs 40,000 segment. The Vivo T4 Ultra is relatively quicker than its competitors in terms of wattage, but the real-world speeds could have been better.

One important thing to note is that the Vivo T4 Ultra did not get warm while charging. However, the back panels of the Realme GT 7 and iQOO Neo 7 felt slightly warm to the touch after the charging test. Better thermals contribute to battery longevity, which is a positive sign for the Vivo T4 Ultra.

Verdict

When we tested the Vivo T4 Ultra, we consistently achieved 6+ hours of screen-on time with regular usage. Our testing procedure includes normal social media usage, an hour of gaming, 10-15 minutes of camera usage, checking emails, and other similar activities. The idea is to push the device to its limit to find out the best results for all types of users. By these standards, the Vivo T4 Ultra is an excellent pick if battery life is a priority for you.
