Last month, Vivo unveiled the Vivo X Fold 5 foldable phone in China, and it’s expected to debut globally this month. After being spotted at Thailand’s NBTC certification platform, the device has now received approval from Taiwan’s NCC authority. The NCC listing has revealed key details of the device, including its live images.
Vivo X Fold 5 NCC certified
- The Vivo X Fold 5, bearing the V2429 model number, has received NCC certification in Taiwan.
- In addition to a few connectivity details, the listing reveals that the phone will ship with a 90W charger (model number V9082L0A1-US).
- The device will feature a dual-cell battery setup with one cell rated at 2,685mAh and the other at 3,280mAh, resulting in a total capacity of 5,965mAh, which may be marketed as 6,000mAh.
- The live shots in the NCC listing show the phone in a green colour variant.
- This suggests that this particular colourway might be made available globally or at least in Taiwan.
- Although the listing does not mention any other specifications, the global version of the X Fold 5 will likely feature the same specs as the Chinese variant.
Other upcoming Vivo launches
In related news, Vivo is expected to host a launch event later this month in India to unveil the Vivo X200 FE, a compact flagship smartphone. While the brand has not confirmed the exact date, it is anticipated that both the X Fold 5 and X200 FE will go official at the same event.
Additionally, Vivo is reportedly planning to launch the Vivo Buds Air 3 TWS earbuds globally, which may also debut alongside the X Fold 5 and X200 FE.
