. There have been reports that Vivo is working on its next Y-series phone, the Vivo Y400 5G. The moniker indicates that the device will be positioned lower than the Vivo Y400 5G, which debuted with a price tag of Rs 24,999 in India last month.
In a new development, the Vivo Y400 5G has emerged in the databases of certification platforms like the Bluetooth SIG and India’s BIS. Additionally, it recently surfaced in the Google Play Console’s database, revealing its key specifications.
Vivo Y400 5G Bluetooth SIG, BIS listings
The above screenshots show that a new Vivo smartphone with model number V2506 has been certified by the Bluetooth SIG and BIS. While the BIS listing has not revealed anything significant, the Bluetooth certification confirms that the device will be called the Vivo Y400 5G when it hits the market.
Vivo Y400 5G key specifications (rumoured)
As per the Google Play Console listing, the Vivo Y400 5G features the Qualcomm SM4450, which is nothing but the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2. The SoC is paired with 8GB of RAM, and the device runs on Android 15.
The listing further reveals that the Y400 5G has an FHD+ resolution screen and 440dpi screen density. As per previous leaks, it will feature a 120Hz AMOLED curved-edge panel.
According to a recent report by 91mobiles, the Vivo Y400 5G is expected to feature a 6,000mAh battery with 90W charging. It also claims that the device will feature an IP68/69-rated chassis. It is expected to debut by early August and come in shades like Olive Green and Glam White. In all likelihood, the device may hit the Indian market with a price tag of around Rs 20,000.
