Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro are arriving on September 24th. However, ahead of its official launch, we have spotted both these smartphones on an Italian retail website called Overly, giving us the first look at the devices along with their full specifications.
If we go by the
listing, the Xiaomi 15T will feature a 6.83-inch POLED display with a resolution of 2772 x 1280 pixels, up to 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 3200 nits. It will be backed by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra processor paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The phone will include Leica cameras with a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens, and a wide-angle option. Besides, it will house a 5,500mAh battery with 67W charging. The Xiaomi 15T is priced at €575.04, which is around Rs 60,000 in India.
Xiaomi 15T: Key Specs and Pricing
On the other hand, the Xiaomi 15T Pro will flaunt the same display size and resolution as its non-Pro sibling, but will support up to 144Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Plus processor, coupled with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The Pro model will include an upgraded Leica camera setup with a Light Fusion 900 sensor and a super telephoto lens offering up to 115mm focal length. It will be equipped with a 5500mAh battery with 90W fast charging and wireless charging support. The 15T Pro is listed at €796.25, roughly Rs 82,000 in India (as per the current conversion rate).
Interestingly, the
listing on the Overly website shows the Xiaomi 15T bundled with a portable photo printer. The Xiaomi 15T Pro is
bundled with the Xiaomi Watch S4. Apart from that, both models will run on Xiaomi HyperOS 2 based on Android 15 and include features such as 5G connectivity, NFC, IP68 rating, and eSIM support. Certification listings have already revealed details about the phones, with the
15T appearing on IMDA, NBTC, and FCC databases, while the standard 15T has also been approved by NBTC and IMDA.
Geekbench results for the 15T Pro confirm 12GB RAM, Android 15, and scores of 1057 in single-core and 4009 in multi-core performance tests.
Holding Ground in the Premium Race
Xiaomi has been steadily pushing into the premium segment globally, where competition is intensifying between Samsung, Apple, and fast-rising challengers like Honor (in China and European markets) and OnePlus. The 15T series represents Xiaomi’s effort to cement its position with features that appeal to a global flagship audience with its Leica-branded cameras, high refresh POLED displays, and MediaTek’s top-tier processors. These specs help Xiaomi signal that it is no longer just a budget-friendly player but a brand capable of matching premium rivals on hardware and design finesse.
Regaining Relevance in the Mid-Premium Market
In India, Xiaomi’s early dominance in the budget and mid-range segments has weakened in recent years as Vivo and Samsung gained share. The ₹50,000–₹80,000 bracket, where the 15T series is expected to sit, is an especially competitive space with Apple’s older iPhones and Samsung’s Galaxy FE models often becoming default choices. For Xiaomi, the 15T and 15T Pro provide a chance to re-establish itself among aspirational buyers who want a premium experience without crossing into ultra-flagship territory.
Shifting Perceptions Beyond Value-for-Money
Xiaomi has long been associated with aggressive pricing and value-for-money positioning. With the 15T series, the company is attempting to move the conversation toward imaging excellence, ecosystem bundling, and design credibility. Leica optics with a Light Fusion 900 sensor, up to 144Hz displays, and flagship charging speeds help Xiaomi place itself in the same sentence as Samsung, Apple, and Google. If the devices can deliver real-world performance that lives up to these claims, they could become a critical step in Xiaomi’s ongoing effort to be taken seriously in the premium category.
The official unveiling of Xiaomi 15T is later this month, which will confirm whether Xiaomi can translate its strong spec sheet into consumer momentum, particularly in India, where it needs to recover lost ground in the premium Android race.
