Xiaomi has expanded its portfolio of smart home appliances by launching the Mijia Washing Machine Pro Super Electrolytic Smart Wash and Dry 12kg in China. This new washing machine builds on the technology that we’ve previously seen on the Mija lineup and is positioned as a premium model aimed at users looking for advanced fabric care, automation, and reduced dependence on conventional washing products.
The new Mijia Washing Machine Pro model can remove stains, whiten garments, and prevent colour bleeding without requiring additional detergents or fabric enhancers, according to the tech giant. At the core of this promise is the company’s own super electrolysis technology, which works by altering the molecular structure of water during the wash cycle. Xiaomi revealed that this process helps break down stains more effectively while remaining gentle on different fabric types.
Further, Xiaomi has claimed that this washing machine can offer a 99% sterilisation rate, positioning the machine as suitable for households with hygiene-sensitive requirements.

The washing machine supports a maximum wash capacity of 12kg and a drying capacity of up to 9kg, making it suitable for medium to large households.
The washing machine offers a wide range of preset options designed to handle different laundry needs. Users can choose from 31 wash programs, including a 12-minute quick wash, a dedicated wool cycle, and a pet hair removal mode. These programs can be selected through a built-in touch panel, with additional controls available via Xiaomi’s mobile app.
Another key feature is intelligent detergent dispensing, supported by dual compartments that can store up to 30 days’ worth of detergent. Pretty convenient for someone like me who hates doing their laundry. The system automatically releases the required amount of detergent based on load size and program selection, reducing both waste and manual effort.
It also features a low-temperature drying mode, with built-in sensors that automatically stop the drying cycle once clothes are detected to be dry. This helps reduce energy consumption and minimise fabric wear. A 95°C drum-cleaning mode is also included for periodic maintenance and hygiene.
Also, the washer-dryer can be remotely controlled via Xiaomi’s app and supports HyperOS Connect, which allows for deeper integration with the brand’s smart home ecosystem. Xiaomi has also confirmed that the device will receive OTA updates.

In China, the Xiaomi Mijia Washing Machine Pro Super Electrolytic Smart Wash and Dry 12kg is priced at CNY 3,999 (approximately $573). Xiaomi has not announced plans to launch the model in Europe or other global markets yet.
