. Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo Pro has received approval from the Bluetooth SIG authority. While the listing has not revealed anything significant, its appearance means that it has cleared yet another hurdle and is heading for launch.
Previously, the said audio product was seen at certification platforms like CMIIT and FCC. It will arrive as a Pro version of the original OpenWear Stereo, which debuted in July 2024. Here’s a look at what’s known about the upcoming Pro variant.
Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo Pro Bluetooth SIG certified
- As can be seen in the above screenshot, the Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo Pro, which bears the model number M2503E1, has surfaced in the database of the Bluetooth SIG certification platform.
- The previously seen FCC certification of the device revealed that its charging case will house a 788mAh battery and support 6W charging.
- It also revealed that each earbud will include a 56mAh battery.
- The FCC listing also revealed support for Bluetooth Low Energy.
- As mentioned above, the device has also been approved by China’s MIIT authority.
The non-Pro version OpenWear Stereo from last year featured 10mm audio drivers and its 788mAh battery offered up to 38.5 hours of battery. It featured dual microphones for AI noise cancellation. With HyperOS support, it offered seamless connectivity with other Xiaomi devices.
Xiaomi is expected to hold a launch event later this month in China to unveil multiple devices, such as the Redmi K80 Ultra, a Redmi gaming tablet, and the Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro. It remains to be seen whether the OpenWear Stereo Pro debuts alongside these products. At present, there is no clarity on whether the OpenWear Stereo Pro will be released in markets outside of China.
