Hisense has launched its Intelli Cool Pro Series air conditioners in India, marking the company’s first major entry into the room AC category in the country. While the brand has built visibility in India through televisions and select home appliances over the past few years, the new lineup signals a broader attempt to establish itself as a more complete appliance brand in the market.
The Intelli Cool Pro Series is positioned as a smart inverter air conditioner designed to combine quicker cooling performance with connected features and energy efficiency. At the core of the system is what Hisense calls QSD Rapid Inverter Technology, which is designed to help the compressor ramp up cooling performance quickly after the AC is switched on. The goal is to reduce the time it takes to bring down room temperatures, a feature many brands have increasingly highlighted as consumers expect faster cooling during peak summer conditions.
The system also includes an AI Smart Mode that adjusts cooling output based on room conditions and usage patterns. In practice, this allows the AC to maintain stable temperatures without requiring users to constantly tweak settings, while attempting to balance comfort with lower power consumption over longer periods of use.
Hisense is also emphasising connected functionality with this launch. The Intelli Cool Pro Series comes with built-in Wi-Fi through the company’s ConnectLife platform, allowing users to control and monitor the air conditioner through a smartphone. The system also supports voice commands in both English and Hindi and enables scheduling, temperature adjustments and remote operation through connected devices.
Alongside cooling performance and connectivity, the company has included features aimed at improving everyday usability. The air conditioner includes a four-in-one filtration system designed to capture fine particulate matter and improve indoor air circulation. A self-clean function helps remove moisture and dust accumulation within the internal components of the unit, which can help maintain hygiene and airflow over time.
The airflow system has been designed to deliver uniform cooling across rooms through four-way air swing and long-distance airflow. Additional comfort features include multiple sleep modes designed to maintain stable temperatures during nighttime operation, along with a quiet mode intended to reduce operating noise.
The Intelli Cool Pro Series is currently available in a 3-Star 1.5-ton configuration and will be sold through major e-commerce platforms, including Amazon and Flipkart, as well as offline retail partners such as Reliance, Satya, Nandilath, Great Eastern and Patra Electronics. The starting price is Rs 28,990 and the company is offering a five-year comprehensive warranty.
Hisense’s entry into the air conditioner category places it in one of India’s most competitive appliance segments. The market is currently dominated by established players such as LG, Voltas, Samsung, Blue Star and Daikin, all of whom have deep service networks and long-standing brand recall in cooling products. For Hisense, the challenge will not just be about features or pricing but also about building consumer trust, distribution scale and after-sales support in a category where reliability and service responsiveness often matter as much as the product itself.
