As can be seen above, the forthcoming Vivo Y05e smartphone with model number V2606 has emerged in the database of Thailand’s NBTC certification platform. The listing confirms its model number and also reveals that it is a 4G phone, which is most likely to be positioned lower than the existing Y05.

At present, there is no information available about the Vivo Y05’s other specs. Before appearing on NBTC, it has also been spotted at other certification platforms like SIRIM (Malaysia) and SDPPI (Indonesia).

To put things into context, the Vivo Y05 features a 6.74-inch LCD display that offers an HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It has 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB of eMMC storage, and is powered by the Unisoc T7225 chip.

The phone packs a 6,500mAh battery with 15W charging support. It runs on Android 16 and comes with other specifications, such as an 8-megapixel front camera, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a microSD card slot, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and an IP65 rating.

Xpert Pick

As mentioned above, the Vivo Y05e is expected to pack modest specifications, as it is likely to be positioned below the Y05. As far as an India launch is concerned, there is no indication yet whether these devices will be released in the Indian market, as both lack support for 5G connectivity.

The next major launch from Vivo appears to be the Vivo X500 series, which is expected to debut in September in China. India may receive the X500 family in October or November, but before that, the company may unveil a couple of T-series and Y-series phones in the country.
