As seen in the screenshot above, the upcoming Motorola Edge 70 Max has appeared in the HDR10+ certification database. The listing confirms that the device is intended for AP (Asia-Pacific) and EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) markets.

This indicates that the Edge 70 Max could see a wider global release, and an India launch cannot be ruled out. A recent 91mobiles report also revealed that the device, carrying the model number XT2611, was spotted in the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) certification database with support for 25W wireless charging.

Motorola Edge 70 Max specifications: What to expect?

The detailed specifications of the Edge 70 Max remain under wraps, but a recent report by Digital Citizen claimed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset will power it. The report also revealed that the phone will feature a 50-megapixel primary camera powered by a Sony LYTIA sensor.

The Edge 70 Max is also expected to feature a MIL-STD-810-certified body and arrive in Pantone colour options such as Onyx Black, Sage Green, and Glacier Blue. The rest of the specifications remain undisclosed for now.

Xpert Pick

The Motorola Edge 70 Max is expected to become the second Snapdragon 8 Gen 5-powered smartphone after the premium Motorola Signature, which debuted earlier this year. Since it is part of the Edge 70 series, it is likely to be positioned between the Motorola Signature and the Edge 70 Pro+.

To recall, the Edge 70 Pro+ is priced at Rs 47,999 in India. Therefore, the Edge 70 Max could be priced at around Rs 60,000.

According to a recent IDC report, Motorola became the fifth-largest smartphone brand in India with an 8.9 percent market share. By offering smartphones across various price segments, Motorola is strengthening its presence in the country and appealing to a wider range of buyers.
