Test Conditions: Retail units on publicly released firmware, benched at a controlled 28°C ambient, on the highest-specification variant available.
Performance: AnTuTu v10 and Geekbench 6 for CPU, GPU and on-device AI throughput, three passes each with a fifteen-minute cooldown, median reported.
Sustained Load: Twenty consecutive 3DMark Wild Life Extreme loops with chassis temperature logged by external probe. The stability percentage is the figure to watch, it describes how much of the opening score survives to the end.
Gaming: BGMI, Minecraft, Genshin Impact and Asphalt 9 across extended sessions with frame times captured. The average describes the session; the 5% low describes its worst stretches.
Battery: PCMark Work 3.0 looped at fixed brightness until shutdown, with runtime per 1,000 mAh derived from the result and the rated capacity. PCMark does not run on iOS, so the iPhone 17 carries no comparable figure.
On the camera award: the camera scoring columns were unpopulated for every device in this test cycle. The camera pick below is therefore made on verified sensor hardware, optical configuration and measured AI-processing throughput, not on scored image comparisons.

Why We Picked It
Its AnTuTu score of 3,932,097 is the highest in this guide, and its Geekbench single-core result of 3,662 also leads, with a multi-core score of 10,450 second only to the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Its 3DMark score of 6,858 is mid-pack among flagships, but games are where it delivers: 119.4fps average in BGMI with a 110.5fps floor, within margin of the class-leading iQOO 15, and 67.4fps in Minecraft, second-best in this guide.
It gives up ground under sustained load, though. It held 65.6% stress stability, meaning roughly a third of its graphics power dropped off over our test, and peaked at 43.8°C. It lasted 27 hours 13 minutes in our battery test, second in this guide only to a phone built specifically around endurance, and it posted the best efficiency of any phone we tested, from a 7,300mAh battery. Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra — Best Flagship / Premium Phone

The most expensive Android phone here earns the premium award on breadth, then loses the overall award on two measurements it has no business losing.
Why We Picked It
Its 3DMark score of 7,500 is the highest in this guide, ahead of the iQOO 15’s 7,127, and its Geekbench multi-core result of 10,826 is also the best here. More importantly, it holds onto more of that power under load: 75% stress stability, against 58.3% for the iQOO 15 and 65.6% for the OnePlus 15, and it peaks at a much cooler 38.7°C rather than 44°C. Its PCMark work score of 21,877 is the highest of any phone here too, and this figure tracks how snappy a phone feels in daily use better than the gaming benchmarks do. It averaged 115.2fps in Asphalt 9, with a 69.6fps floor, and 71.7fps in Minecraft, both the best results in this guide.
The one exception is throttling stability, at just 56%, the lowest of any flagship here, which sits oddly against its otherwise strong stress-test results.
Its AI performance is comfortably the best among the Android flagships that use Qualcomm chips. These scores measure how well a phone’s chip handles on-device tasks like photo processing or voice assistants without needing the cloud, and higher numbers mean smoother, faster results. This phone scored 1,615 and 732 on its NPU tests, 75% ahead of the OnePlus 15 and 44% ahead of the iQOO 15, with GPU-based AI scores that are also the highest among the Android phones here. It’s still roughly 25 times behind the iPhone 17 and six times behind the Poco X8 Pro Max on raw AI throughput, but among similar Android rivals, it has the hardware to properly back up Samsung’s AI features.
The camera setup covers the widest range of any phone in this guide: a 200MP main sensor, a 10MP telephoto, a 50MP periscope telephoto and a 50MP ultrawide, the only four-camera setup here, and the only one with two separate zoom lenses, reaching up to 100x digital zoom. Its efficiency of 3h 26min per 1,000mAh is respectable, so this comes down to battery size rather than poor tuning, but 60W charging at this price, against 120W on a phone costing ₹39,000 less, makes the gap harder to justify.

iQOO 15 — Best Gaming / Performance Phone

One result decides the gaming award, and it is not close. What is more interesting is how little the rest of the phone gives up to get there.
Why We Picked It
In Genshin Impact, the iQOO 15 averaged 107.9fps with a 5% low of 82.1fps. That low point still beats every other phone’s average in this guide, the closest average is the OnePlus 15’s 77.5fps, and the closest floor is the Poco X8 Pro Max’s 58.7fps. In BGMI, it hit 119.6fps average with a 115.9fps floor, again the best result we recorded. Its 3DMark score of 7,127 is second only to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, and its AnTuTu score of 3,891,344 is within 1% of the best phone in this guide.
The trade-off is heat. Its stress stability of 58.3% is the lowest of any phone here, meaning 42% of its graphics power dropped off over a twenty-loop test, and it peaked at 44.2°C, the hottest reading in this guide. That said, the Genshin result came from a 45-minute session and held steady throughout, so this isn’t a phone that falls apart with use, it just spends its performance headroom rather than saving it. One result, an Asphalt 9 low of 22.8fps, looks out of step with everything else it does, but it’s the figure we measured.
Its AI performance sits in the middle of the flagship pack. These scores measure how well a phone’s chip handles on-device tasks like photo processing or voice assistants without needing the cloud, and higher numbers mean smoother, faster results. This phone scored 1,125 and 499 on its NPU tests, ahead of the OnePlus 15 and Vivo X300 Ultra, but behind the Galaxy S26 Ultra, and well behind the Poco X8 Pro Max and iPhone 17. Its GPU-based AI scores are more competitive with other similar phones. It’s fine for current AI features, but not a particular strength.

Vivo’s own imaging chip isn’t captured by this particular test, so the real-world hit to photography is likely smaller than the raw NPU number suggests. But for general AI tasks, like assistant features or live translation, this isn’t fast hardware.
Everywhere else, this is a proper flagship rather than a good camera bolted onto a compromise. Its AnTuTu score of 3,850,404 is the third-highest in this guide, and its Geekbench scores are the second-best here. Its 3DMark score of 6,824 is competitive with the OnePlus 15. Its storage is the fastest of any phone we tested, with read speeds well ahead of every other device in this guide.
Sustained performance is where it loses ground: it held stability for only 60.9% of our stress test, peaking at 39.5°C. Its BGMI result was also unusual, an average of 107.6fps that dropped sharply to a 21.7fps low, a drop that doesn’t match how the phone performs elsewhere, so we’re flagging it rather than treating it as representative. Genshin Impact was more consistent, at 59.3fps average with a 43.2fps low.
The screen is a 6.82-inch AMOLED, running at 144Hz with fast touch response, and it reached 2,240 nits of brightness in testing, the fourth-brightest in this guide. It’s comfortably usable, if a step behind the iQOO 15, iPhone 17 and OnePlus 15.

Why We Picked It
Its BGMI result of 118.6fps average with a 112.9fps low is within 1fps of the class-leading iQOO 15, and ahead of the ₹1,24,999 Galaxy S26 Ultra. Genshin Impact averaged 60.1fps with a 58.7fps floor, the second-flattest result in this guide behind only the iPhone 17. Its 3DMark score of 6,168 is within 11% of the OnePlus 15, and its AnTuTu score of 2,801,896 beats the iPhone 17. For roughly half the price of a flagship, none of that should really be possible.
It also runs cooler than most of the flagships it’s beating: 37.8°C, with 77% throttling stability, better than every flagship here except the iPhone 17. Its stress stability of 60% looks low, but it starts from a lower peak to begin with, so the real-world drop-off is smaller than the number suggests.

The screen is a 6.83-inch AMOLED, running at 2772 × 1280 resolution and 120Hz, with Dolby Vision, HDR10+, 3,840Hz PWM dimming and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. It reached just 1,480 nits of brightness in testing, the dimmest of any phone in this guide, against a claimed 3,500 nits. On paper it’s large and well-specified; in practice, it’s noticeably dim.
It lasted 22 hours 40 minutes on a 9,000mAh battery, the largest in this guide. That works out to 2h 31min per 1,000mAh, the worst efficiency of any phone we tested, and a good reminder that battery size and battery life aren’t the same thing. Why We Picked It
The nearest result in our records is 29h 51min from the iQOO Z11x; the best flagship figure is the OnePlus 15’s 27h 13min. The P4 Power beat both, by three and six hours respectively, thanks to a 10,001mAh silicon-carbon battery, the largest fitted to a normal-sized phone sold in India. Its efficiency of 3h 19min per 1,000 mAh is only mid-table, though, which is worth being upfront about: this is a win from sheer battery size, not clever power management. Charging runs at 80W, with 27W reverse charging too, so it can double as a power bank for other devices.
What makes this more than a novelty is that it doesn’t overheat or slow down to get there. It peaked at just 35.7°C after our twenty-loop stress test, the coolest of any phone in this guide, flagships included, while holding 99.5% stress stability and 91% throttling stability, both the best scores we recorded. The phone barely breaks a sweat under sustained load, mostly because it isn’t being asked to do very much.
That’s the trade-off, and it’s a big one. Its AnTuTu score of 1,023,651 is roughly a quarter of the OnePlus 15’s, and its 3DMark score of 1,022 is about a seventh of the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s. Genshin Impact averaged 44.8fps but dropped to a 5.2fps low, a full stall rather than a dip, so heavy 3D gaming isn’t something this phone is built for. Motorola Edge 70 — Best Budget Phone

A 5.99mm phone that outruns its thicker sibling on every performance measure, then hands almost all of it back at the battery test.
Why We Picked It
Its AnTuTu score of 1,389,931 is 21% ahead of the Edge 70 Fusion, and its 3DMark score of 2,077 is 75% ahead, a bigger gap than the price difference suggests. Geekbench came in at 1,330 single-core and 4,174 multi-core, with a graphics score of 4,797, again well clear of the Fusion’s 3,576. In BGMI, it averaged 113.8fps, within 5fps of the pricier Poco X8 Pro Max.
Its PCMark work score of 15,674 is the more telling number for daily use, beating the OnePlus 15, Realme P4 Power and Edge 70 Fusion, and landing within 6% of the far pricier iQOO 15. This doesn’t feel like a budget phone day to day.
The slim 5.99mm body was an obvious worry, but it doesn’t struggle the way the iPhone Air did in our testing. It held 85.2% stress stability and 87% throttling stability, both better than every flagship here, including the iPhone 17, and beaten only by two phones built specifically for battery life over speed. Motorola’s cooling is clearly doing real work. We couldn’t log a surface temperature for this unit.
The slim design costs battery life, though. It lasted just 12 hours 33 minutes, the shortest in this guide, nearly five hours behind the Galaxy S26 Ultra and less than half the OnePlus 15. From its 5,000mAh battery, that’s 2h 31min per 1,000mAh, tying the Poco X8 Pro Max for worst efficiency here. Motorola claims up to 38 hours of mixed use, but that’s a lighter-use manufacturer figure, not comparable to our test above. Charging is 68W wired plus 15W wireless, rare at this price, no other phone under ₹48,999 here offers wireless charging.
Camera hardware is unusually complete for the price. The 50MP main has a wide aperture and stabilisation, the 50MP ultrawide adds autofocus and macro, both rare at this price, and the front camera is a solid 50MP. All three shoot 4K at 60fps, a clear upgrade over the Edge 70 Fusion on two of three lenses. The gap is zoom: no telephoto, so it’s all digital, the same limitation as the three-times-pricier iPhone 17, but felt more here given how good the ultrawide is.
The screen is 6.7 inches, running at 2712 x 1220 with HDR10+, and reached 2,220 nits in testing, the fourth-brightest here. Motorola claims 4,500 nits peak; we measured less than half that, a gap we’ve seen repeatedly across this guide. It refreshes at 120Hz, a step down from the 144Hz on the Fusion and Realme P4 Power, though at higher resolution than either.
AI performance is the weak point, and the one area barely improved from the Fusion. These scores measure how well a phone’s chip handles on-device tasks like photo processing or voice assistants, and higher numbers mean smoother results. GPU-based AI scores of 1,689 and 1,269 are reasonable for the class, ahead of the Realme P4 Power’s 905. But NPU scores of just 520 and 226 sit near the bottom of this guide, the Realme P4 Power scores five times higher on the same test. For on-device photo processing and assistant features, that’s a difference you’d notice.
At 159.9 x 74.3 x 5.99mm and 159g, it’s the slimmest phone here by over a millimetre, and the lightest, beating even the iPhone 17 and Edge 70 Fusion. It has proper dust and water resistance, military-grade durability certification, a metal frame and tough glass, so the thinness hasn’t cost durability.

Why We Picked It
At 149.6 × 71.5 × 7.95mm and 177g, this is the only phone here you can genuinely use with one hand. It ties the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion for the lightest phone in the guide, but in a smaller body. It’s IP68 rated, so it can handle dust and water.
Small phones usually run hotter, but this one doesn’t. It stayed stable for 83% of a twenty-loop stress test, against 58.3% to 75% for the Android flagships. It peaked at just 36.0°C, the coolest of any flagship tested, and throttled the least too, at 83.9%. This shows up in games, not just on paper. Why We Didn’t Pick It
The Oppo Find X9 Ultra lost the camera award to the Vivo X300 Ultra on two measurements rather than hardware count. Its 39.1% stress stability is the lowest in our testing, with performance dropping more than 60% over 20 consecutive loops, compared to the Vivo’s 60.9%. That matters for a camera phone because 8K video and computational photography are exactly the workloads that trigger thermal decline. Its measured brightness of 1,651 nits is also the dimmest in this comparison, making outdoor shot framing harder than on the Vivo’s much brighter display.
At ₹1,69,999, it costs ₹10,000 more than the phone that beat it. Here’s what that money buys.
Its Hasselblad-tuned quad camera is the most comprehensive setup here: a stabilised 200MP main camera, 200MP telephoto, 50MP ultrawide, 50MP ultra-telephoto with 10x optical and 120x digital zoom, plus a dedicated colour sensor. That’s one more rear lens than the Vivo X300 Ultra, nearly three times its zoom reach, and the only setup here with two separate telephoto lenses alongside two 200MP sensors. Performance is exceptional. Its 4,026,656 AnTuTu score is the highest we’ve recorded, ahead of the OnePlus 15, while Geekbench and 3DMark results are equally strong. It averaged 119.7fps in BGMI with a 116.5fps floor, the best gaming result we’ve measured, while Asphalt 9 averaged 116.9fps with a 72.3fps floor, matching the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Storage speeds are second only to the Vivo X300 Ultra.
Thermals are the catch. Its 39.1% stability score is the worst here, despite peaking at only 39.0°C, showing it throttles early rather than running hotter. That keeps temperatures down but means peak performance reflects the first minute more than sustained use, and it affected our *Minecraft* test.
AI performance is disappointing for both the price and its camera-first positioning. These scores reflect how well on-device tasks like photo processing and voice assistants run without the cloud. Its NPU scored just 565 and 247, among the weakest flagship results here and behind the much cheaper Realme P4 Power. GPU-based AI performance is far stronger, second only to the Galaxy S26 Ultra among Android phones, so the raw AI power exists, but the dedicated hardware isn’t making the most of it.
