Vivo T4 Ultra vs Realme GT 7 vs Motorola Edge 60 Pro vs OnePlus 13R Performance Comparison: Which One Reigns Supreme?

The Vivo T4 Ultra is the third smartphone in its T4-series lineup and is the top-of-the-line model in the series. The smartphone is priced at Rs 37,999, and for the price, it offers several segment-firsts, including a 10x telephoto macro zoom and the flagship-grade MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Plus SoC. Vivo promises a blazing-fast performance with the T4 Ultra, but how does it compare against its competitors? To determine this, we ran a battery of tests, including Geekbench 6, AnTuTu, and CPU throttling on the T4 Ultra, Realme GT 7, Motorola Edge 60 Pro, and OnePlus 13R. Here’s what we found.

Geekbench 6 Comparison: Vivo T4 Ultra has a slight edge

The processor of a smartphone is the powertrain that drives the device’s performance, and therefore, we run the Geekbench 6 benchmarking app to gauge its capabilities. The app gives us two scores – Single-core and multi-core, to determine the handling of daily tasks and intensive tasks on the device. Check out the Geekbench 6 comparison of Vivo T4 Ultra with its competitors below.

The Vivo T4 Ultra marks the debut of the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Plus in the country, and also scores the highest in both single-core and multi-core scores. The odd one out here is the Edge 60 Pro, which scores considerably lower than the other three devices due to its MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Extreme chipset.

Having said that, the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e powering the Realme GT 7 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 under the hood of the OnePlus 13R are not lagging by much. These smartphones scored almost identically in both single-core and multi-core tests, as you can see in the images above.

AnTuTu Scores: Realme GT 7 races ahead

With Vivo T4 Ultra, Realme GT 7, and OnePlus 13R scoring identically in Geekbench 6, it boils down to the overall performance offered by these devices. We ran the AnTuTu benchmarking app on all four smartphones to gauge the compounded performance by taking CPU, GPU, memory, and user experience into consideration.

When it comes to overall performance, the Realme GT 7 and OnePlus 13R, with their better-optimised software and hardware, score near-identically and higher than the Vivo and Moto offerings. The Vivo T4 Ultra was not far from Realme and OnePlus’ offerings in its AnTuTu scoring, but the Motorola Edge 60 Pro is way behind in comparison.

If you’re looking for a sub-Rs 40,000 smartphone with rock-solid performance, the Realme GT 7 and OnePlus 13R are the ones to consider. The Vivo T4 Ultra is designed for those who prefer a more balanced performance over sheer bursts of raw power.

CPU Throttling Comparison: OnePlus 13R outshines the competition

The synthetic benchmarking apps give us an idea of the expected performance from a device. However, mileage may vary depending on the end consumer’s usage pattern. We use the CPU throttle app on these smartphones to simulate everyday, heavy usage patterns, pushing the CPU to throttle and measuring the performance drop-off at that point. The higher the sustained performance recorded by the app, the better the consistency of the performance under heavy workload.

The OnePlus 13R with the flagship Qualcomm processor sustained 87% of its maximum performance under duress, closely followed by the Edge 60 Pro with a 77% score. The Vivo T4 Ultra and Realme GT 7 score around a 70% mark in this test.

This means that the OnePlus 13R and Edge 60 Pro are poised to deliver significantly improved performance under stress. Whether it’s prolonged gaming sessions, professional content creation, or just daily heavy usage, the OnePlus 13 is the one you should be looking at.

Verdict

The Vivo T4 Ultra is a solid sub-Rs 40,000 smartphone that offers a perfect blend of several segment-firsts along with a powerful processor and overall package. On the other hand, the OnePlus 13R and Realme GT 7 are designed for gamers and creators seeking the best performance. With a superior CPU throttling score, these devices are more likely to deliver a smooth experience even after several hours of usage.

Lastly, the Edge 60 Pro is for those who prefer a near-stock Android experience as well as advanced AI features. If software superiority takes precedence over raw performance for you, then the Motorola Edge 60 Pro is the one.
