New LG Washer-Dryer Combo Delivers a Full Cycle in 90 Mins: Details Here

At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, LG made a strong case for why the hybrid washer-dryer is no longer a compromise product. The company showcased its latest LG Signature ventless washer-dryer combo, a machine that can complete a full wash-and-dry cycle for an approx 4.5kg load in roughly 90 minutes, which really shifts expectations for combo laundry appliances.

For many years now, washer-dryer combo machines have been largely called out for their slow drying times. They would often stretch a single wash cycle into several hours. But LG’s new system cuts nearly 30 minutes off the previous industry benchmark. This brings the combo performance closer to what consumers expect from separate washing and drying units.

This new LG model uses advanced heat pump technology to manage drying without needing external venting. Because of this, the unit can be installed almost anywhere with a water connection. This makes it particularly useful for urban homes and apartments. By eliminating the need for a dedicated dryer and venting infrastructure, LG positions the combo as a proper replacement for the traditional two-machine setups.

LG Signature Washer-Dryer Specifications

The LG Signature washer-dryer combo uses AI for load detection. It has an internal scale to assess load size and automatically adjust water usage, drying duration, and energy consumption. The machine also includes smart detergent and fabric softener dispensers, which ensure precise usage and reduce wastage.

Since it has a ventless system, the machine uses fast-moving dry air rather than traditional heated drying, a method LG says is gentler on fabrics and closer to natural air-drying. This can extend a garment’s lifespan.

The washing machine also has a fully digital interface and remote access via LG ThinQ. So you can easily monitor cycles, receive alerts, and fine-tune settings from your smartphone.

LG Signature Washer-Dryer Price &  Availability

The product was showcased at CES 2026, and LG has not announced official pricing or a confirmed launch date for the new Signature washer-dryer combo yet. But if reports are to be believed, the new washing machine is expected in early 2026.

The current-generation LG Signature combo retails for over $2,000. Hence, it is expected that the new model can retail for around $3,000.

Washer-dryer combos have traditionally appealed to space-constrained households and users looking to avoid the hassle of transferring clothes between machines, but long cycle times, often between two and four hours, and less effective drying limited their appeal. LG’s promise of a 90-minute full cycle directly addresses these concerns. If real-world performance matches the claim, the latest LG Signature combo could make all-in-one washing machines worth the investment. Samsung’s Bespoke AI Laundry Ventless Combo also claims to offer a similar 98-minute full cycle, which signals a broader shift in this category.

If you don’t have enough space in your house for two giant machines, want to save time on the whole laundry process, and can spend approx $3000 on a washing machine, this one can be a good fit for you.
