Xiaomi launches Mijia Washing Machine Pro Super Electrolysis Smart Wash and Dry 10kg in China

Xiaomi just expanded its smart home appliance portfolio by launching a compact version of the 12kg Minia Washing Machine, which it launched earlier this month. The new addition is the Mijia Washing Machine Pro Super Electrolysis Smart Wash and Dry 10kg. This new washer-dryer retains most of the flagship features that we saw on the previous 12kg variant, but it is aimed at households looking for a smaller capacity machine without sacrificing advanced cleaning and connectivity options.

With its latest launch in China, Xiaomi is further pushing its home appliances category, an area where the company has been steadily strengthening its presence with AI-powered and app-connected products designed to integrate into its wider HyperOS ecosystem.

Mijia Washing Machine Pro 10kg Features

The Mijia Washing Machine Pro comes with a slim, space-saving profile paired with a large 525mm drum to help improve load handling and washing efficiency. The washing machine is powered by a direct drive motor, which is designed to minimise vibration and noise while delivering smoother and more stable operation.

One of the main features of the new 10kg washing machine is Xiaomi’s proprietary super electrolysis technology. According to the tech giant, this technology can prevent colour bleeding and remove up to 20 types of stains, including soy sauce, fruit juice and blood, which are generally considered tough stains and require professional cleaning.

To do this, the machine generates active oxygen through its electrolysis process. This helps it break down stains more effectively while preserving fabric quality.

Xiaomi also claims that the electrolysis technology can help reverse yellowing in white garments, with the Mijia Washing Machine Pro delivering cleaning power in a single wash equivalent to using around 50 grams of colour-safe bleach. The company also claims that the washing machine delivers a 99.99% sterilisation rate.

The Mijia Washing Machine Pro comes with 21 washing programmes. This includes a steam cleaning mode for deep fabric care and a 12-minute quick wash option for lightly soiled clothes. It also has an intelligent detergent dispensing system, which is through the dual compartments on the washing machine that can store up to 30 days’ worth of liquid detergent and fabric softener. Depending on the load size and programme, the washing machine automatically dispenses the required amount of detergent, similar to the Mijia Washing Machine Pro 12kg.

For drying, Xiaomi has included a low-temperature drying system that monitors moisture levels and stops automatically once the clothes are dry, helping prevent overheating and minimise fabric damage.

The Mijia Washing Machine Pro 10kg is also integrated with Xiaomi’s HyperOS Connect platform. This lets users remotely monitor and control washing cycles through the mobile app or by using voice commands via Xiao AI.

Price and Availability

The Xiaomi Mijia Washing Pro Super Electrolysis Smart Wash and Dry has been launched in China for now. It is priced at CNY 3,799 (approximately $545). Xiaomi has not yet confirmed plans to launch the model in other markets.

A 10kg washing machine is a good fit for medium to large families, those who have frequent laundry needs, or those who regularly wash bulky items such as bed linen and curtains.

From an industry point of view, features like electrolysis-based stain removal and automated detergent dispensing show how washing machines are steadily moving from being just basic household appliances into intelligent fabric-care systems. However, the real test for such technologies will lie in their long-term reliability, maintenance requirements and how consistently they perform across different fabric types and water conditions.
