The wait for the Oppo Find X9 Ultra’s India launch may finally be coming to an end. Until now, the brand’s Ultra-branded flagships have remained exclusive to the Chinese market. However, a couple of weeks ago, Oppo confirmed that the Find X9 Ultra would be its first Ultra model to launch globally.
Following that announcement, the device was spotted on multiple certification platforms in countries such as Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia. Notably, it had not appeared on India’s BIS certification at the time, raising some doubts about its local launch. In a new development, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra has now been approved by the BIS authority, strongly indicating that its India launch could be just around the corner.
Oppo Find X9 Ultra BIS certified

As seen in the image above, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra, carrying the model number CPH2841, received approval from India’s BIS regulatory body on March 27. This development confirms that the device is likely to make its way to the Indian market soon.
The Find X9 Ultra is expected to be announced in China in April. It remains unclear whether Oppo will host a single global launch event or organise separate unveilings for China and international markets.
Oppo Find X9 Ultra specifications
As per reports, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.82-inch AMOLED display with a 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. In China, the device may be offered with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.
The Find X9 Ultra could pack a massive 7,050mAh battery, supported by 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. On the front, it is tipped to feature a 50-megapixel selfie camera with autofocus support.
On the rear, the camera setup may be headlined by a 200-megapixel Sony LYT-901 primary sensor. It could be accompanied by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera offering up to 10x optical zoom.
Xpert Take
The Oppo Find X9 Ultra is shaping up to be a serious contender in the ultra-premium segment, where it is expected to rival the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and the Vivo X300 Ultra, both of which are anticipated to arrive in India soon. With top-end camera hardware and flagship internals, Oppo appears to be aiming straight at the very top of the market.
That said, affordability is unlikely to be its strength. Considering the Find X8 Pro was priced at Rs 1,09,999 in India, the Find X9 Ultra could be positioned at around Rs 1,30,000, placing it firmly in the premium flagship bracket.
