The latest listing reveals that the Xiaomi 17T, with model number 2602DPT53G, has been certified by NBTC in Thailand. As is typically the case, the listing does not disclose detailed specifications of the device. However, its appearance across multiple certification platforms suggests that the launch may not be far away.

Earlier FCC certification indicated that the Xiaomi 17T will feature a large 6,360mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging. The device is also expected to arrive in 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB storage configurations. In terms of connectivity, it is likely to include support for 5G NR, Wi-Fi 6E, NFC, and Bluetooth.

Details spotted in the HyperOS codebase suggest that the rear camera setup may be led by a 50-megapixel OmniVision OVX8000 primary sensor. It could be accompanied by a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5D telephoto camera and a 13-megapixel OmniVision OV13B ultra-wide lens, indicating a versatile imaging system.

Xpert Pick

The last T-series Xiaomi flagship phones were the Xiaomi 11T and Xiaomi 11T Pro, which debuted in 2022. The BIS certification of the Xiaomi 17T suggests that the brand may be planning to reintroduce the T-series in India. At present, the company has not officially confirmed its plans, especially since the Xiaomi 17 series was launched in the country recently.

The Xiaomi 17T could be aimed at strengthening the company’s presence in the mid-premium segment in India. While most specifications are yet to be confirmed, the device is expected to be priced at around Rs 50,000. What are your thoughts on Xiaomi bringing back the T-series to India?
