Tecno Pova 8, Spark 50 Pro TUV certified

The Pova 8’s TUV listing reveals a massive 7,750mAh battery, whereas the Spark 50 Pro’s listing shows a 5,800mAh battery. The charging capabilities of these phones could not be determined, as while the listings reveal voltage, ampere data is not available to calculate the charging wattage.

To recall, the Pova 7 housed a 6,000mAh battery, while the Spark 40 Pro came with a 5,200mAh battery. Therefore, the TUV listings suggest that both phones will arrive with improvements in the battery department as compared to their previous generation.

The Pova 7 and Spark 40 Pro were announced in July 2025. Therefore, it is likely that the Pova 8 and Spark 50 Pro may debut around the same time this year. At present, there is no information available about the other specifications of these phones.

Xpert Take

Tecno appears to be doubling down on battery capacity, especially with the Pova 8’s massive 7,750mAh unit, which could appeal to heavy users and gamers. If paired with efficient hardware, it may deliver impressive endurance in its segment. At the same time, the Spark 50 Pro seems to strike a balance between battery and mainstream usability.

In terms of pricing, the Pova 8 may arrive with a sub-Rs 20,000 price tag. In the recent years, Tecno has streamlined its smartphone lineup in India. The Spark 40 Pro was not released in India, so there’s no clarity whether the Spark 50 Pro will arrive in the country.
