Intel has introduced its Core Series 3 mobile processors, aimed at entry-level laptops, commercial systems, and edge deployments. The new lineup is built on the Intel 18A process and features a hybrid architecture combining Cougar Cove performance cores and Darkmont efficiency cores.
A typical configuration includes up to 2 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores, along with integrated Xe graphics and a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for AI workloads. The platform supports modern connectivity such as Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.
Intel’s internal testing indicates improvements in productivity, AI performance, and power efficiency compared to earlier-generation processors, although results may vary depending on system configuration.
Systems powered by Core Series 3 processors are expected to launch from OEM partners starting April 2026, with over 70 designs planned across multiple brands.
