Lenovo has launched the Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 in India, positioning it as a tablet for users who want a larger screen for work, study, creative tasks, and entertainment. The tablet is priced at ₹39,999 and will be available through Lenovo’s official site from May 1, 2026, followed by leading e-commerce platforms and retail stores across India. Lenovo is also offering an instant bank discount of ₹3,000 for a limited period.
Large display and Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 performance
The Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 features a 13-inch 3.5K PureSight Pro display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Lenovo says the large panel is aimed at reading, streaming, note-taking, and creative workflows. The tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor and comes in an 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration.
Lenovo is also leaning on AI-led software features with this model. The tablet includes AI Notes, Smart Reader, AI Creation Tools, Live Transcript, Circle to Search, Google Gemini, and real-time translation support. These features are aimed at helping users take notes, organise content, search information, and work across learning or productivity tasks.
Tab Pen Plus, Android 16, and India availability
For input, the Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 ships with the Lenovo Tab Pen Plus in the box. It can also connect with a keyboard and touchpad accessories for a more laptop-like setup. The tablet has a metal body and weighs 598 g, making it reasonably portable for a large-screen device.
Other features include quad JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos, Android 16, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and a 1-year warranty. Lenovo says extended warranty and protection plans will also be available.
