Last week, the upcoming Realme 16T 5G was approved by Thailand’s NBTC certification authority. In a new development, the device has now bagged approval from Malaysia’s SIRIM authority. At the same time, SIRIM has also approved a new Realme smartwatch, suggesting that these devices may debut together in the near future.
Realme 16T, Realme Watch S5 SIRIM certified

As can be seen above, the Realme 16T 5G and Realme Watch S5, bearing the respective model numbers RMX5268 and RMW2502, have appeared in SIRIM’s database. As usual, these listings have not revealed anything else about the devices.
As per a recent leak, the Realme 16T 5G will be offered in multiple variants, including 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, and 8GB+256GB options. It is expected to arrive in shades such as Starlight Red, Starlight Black, and Aurora Green.
The Realme Watch S5 is also heading to Indonesia, as it was approved by the country’s SDPPI authority in the recent past. At present, there is no information available about the specifications of the device. Therefore, it is advisable to wait for further reports to learn more about it.
Xpert Take
The Realme 16T 5G is also heading to India, as it was approved by the BIS authority last month. In all likelihood, the device may be positioned below the Realme 16, which starts at Rs 31,999. Therefore, we can expect the 16T to launch in the Indian market at around Rs 25,000.
As for the Realme Watch S5, the device will succeed the Realme Watch S2, which was announced back in 2024. For those unaware, the brand skipped the Watch S3 and Watch S4 naming scheme, and is now gearing up to launch the Watch S5. Interestingly, the smartwatch is also expected to launch in India, as it has appeared in the BIS database as well.
