The Realme P4 lineup could soon get another budget-focused addition in India. The purported Realme P4s Lite has now cleared an important local certification, adding to earlier indications that the company is preparing another P4-series smartphone.
Realme P4s Lite receives BIS certification
The Realme P4s Lite has appeared on India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification database with the model number RMX5398. While the listing does not reveal any specifications, the certification indicates that the smartphone is being prepared for the Indian market.
The device was first tipped last month by 91mobiles as a potential new member of the Realme P4 lineup. According to the earlier leak, the Realme P4s Lite could be offered with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage or 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. It is also expected to be available in Moonlight Silver and Nebula Black colour options.
Details about its hardware remain limited for now. Earlier speculation suggested that the phone could share some specifications with the Realme P4 Lite 4G, including a 6.74-inch HD+ LCD display, a 6,300mAh battery, Unisoc T7250 chipset and IP54 rating. Another possibility is that it could be positioned closer to the Realme P4 Lite 5G, which features the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 and a 7,000mAh battery. These specifications have not been confirmed.
The BIS listing suggests that an India launch could be on the horizon, although Realme has yet to confirm the phone or announce a launch date. More certification listings could reveal additional details before the official unveiling.

The Realme P4s Lite appears to be shaping up as a budget-focused addition rather than a direct replacement for the existing P4 Lite models. Its final positioning will likely depend on the chipset, battery capacity and pricing Realme chooses.
The Realme P4 Lite 4G and P4 Lite 5G were priced at Rs 7,999 and Rs 12,999 at launch, respectively. Meanwhile, the P4R, which offers better specifications than the Lite models, debuted at Rs 19,999. This leaves room for the P4s Lite to be positioned around the Rs 15,000 mark. If Realme manages to price it below the P4R, the phone could give the company another option in the competitive sub-Rs 15,000 segment.
