HP has launched the HyperX OMEN 15 in India, marking the debut of its first HyperX-branded gaming laptop in the country. The model is also the first notebook to arrive under HP’s refreshed HyperX gaming identity, which was introduced at CES 2026 to unify the company’s gaming laptops, desktops, peripherals, and software under a single ecosystem.
The HyperX OMEN 15 is powered by Intel’s 14th-generation Core i7-14650HX processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU. According to HP, the system is configured to deliver up to 170 W of total processor power, targeting sustained performance for modern AAA games, esports titles, and content creation workloads. HP positions the laptop toward users who prioritise low latency, high responsiveness, and consistent performance during extended gaming sessions.
One of the key differentiators of the HyperX OMEN 15 is its keyboard, which features an 8 kHz polling rate. HP claims this enables up to four times faster input responsiveness compared to conventional gaming keyboards, translating to a reported 0.125 ms response time from keypress to on-screen action. The laptop also integrates OMEN AI and Unleashed Mode, which dynamically adjust performance and thermal behaviour in real time.
For cooling, the HyperX OMEN 15 uses OMEN Tempest Cooling, including a reverse airflow mechanism designed to expel dust through the OMEN Gaming Hub. HP states that this approach helps maintain thermal efficiency and consistent CPU and GPU performance during long gaming sessions.
The laptop is equipped with a 15.3-inch IPS display with a 2560 × 1600 resolution, a 180 Hz refresh rate, and a rated 3 ms response time. The panel is specified at up to 500 nits of brightness, covers 100% of the sRGB colour space, and carries Eyesafe certification to reduce blue light exposure. The chassis offers a 91% screen-to-body ratio, along with per-key RGB lighting and an optional RGB light bar controlled through OMEN Light Studio.
The HyperX OMEN 15 ships with Windows 11 and supports extensive performance and lighting customisation via OMEN Gaming Hub. OMEN AI is currently available globally in beta form.
In India, the HyperX OMEN 15 will be available via Flipkart and select offline retail partners, with prices starting at ₹1,49,999. HP has not announced availability at the time of writing.
