Oppo is gearing up to launch the A7 series of smartphones globally. Malaysia’s SIRIM authority recently approved the Oppo A7 Pro and A7 Pro smartphones, indicating that they are heading to Malaysia in the coming days. Now, in a development, the Pro Max edition has also been approved by Thailand’s NBTC certification platform.
Oppo A7 Pro Max 5G NBTC certified
As can be seen above, the Oppo A7 Pro Max 5G bearing the model number CPH2909 has been approved by the NBTC authority. As usual, it only hints that it is heading to Thailand, but does not reveal anything about its core specs.
Apart from the A7 Pro Max, NBTC as well as the GCF have previously approved the Oppo A7 Pro 5G with model number CPH2931. None of these listings have revealed anything significant about these models.
The A7 Pro Max has already launched in China and is the company’s first phone to pack a 10,000mAh battery. It also offers other specs, such as a 6.78-inch AMOLED 1.5K 120Hz screen, a Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chip, 80W wired charging, and a pair of 50-megapixel cameras, one on the front and the other one on the back.

While Oppo is gearing up for the A7 Pro Max’s launch, rival brand Redmi is scheduled to launch the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, which houses a 10,000mAh battery. While these two phones pack the same-sized batteries, the A7 Pro Max is a bit inferior in other departments. At present, there is no information on whether the A7 Pro Max will make it to the Indian market. However, rumours suggest that it could be rebranded as the Oppo F35 Pro in the country.
At present, there is no information about the Oppo A7 Pro’s specifications. It remains to be seen whether it could be a rebranded version of an existing phone or an entirely new offering.
