Vivo is gearing up to launch a new Y-series smartphone in India. Ahead of the launch, tipster Sanju Chaudhary has shared the key specifications of the upcoming device along with an image revealing its rear design. Here’s a look at what the new smartphone is expected to offer.
Vivo Y31T specifications (rumoured)
Our source has revealed that the Vivo Y31T will feature a 6.75-inch LCD panel with an HD+ resolution and up to 1,250 nits of brightness in High Brightness Mode (HBM).
The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset and will use UFS 2.2 storage. While details about the RAM type are currently unavailable, the phone is expected to be offered in three configurations: 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128GB, and 6GB+256GB.
The Vivo Y31T will pack a large 7,200mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging. Like several recent Vivo smartphones, it will run OriginOS 6, although the exact Android version remains unknown.
On the photography front, the Vivo Y31T will feature an 8-megapixel front-facing camera and a dual-camera setup on the rear comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. Despite packing a large 7,200mAh battery, the smartphone will maintain a slim 8.39mm profile. It is also expected to carry IP66/IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance, along with SGS certification for added durability.
The Vivo Y31T is expected to compete with the Oppo A6 5G in the Indian market, which starts at Rs 26,999. While Vivo has yet to reveal the Y31T’s pricing, it could be positioned in a similar price range as it targets the same segment. The smartphone is expected to be available in three colour options: Crimson Red, Gold Mist, and Seashore Green.

Vivo is currently one of the leading smartphone brands in India, with a strong presence across different price segments. One of the major reasons for this is its wide portfolio, which offers multiple options for different types of buyers.
The Y31T has a decent set of specifications for a mid-range 5G smartphone, although a price of around Rs 25,000 could make it a little difficult to recommend. However, such pricing has become increasingly common as rising memory costs continue to affect smartphone prices across different segments. Overall, the Y31T looks like a decent package that could appeal to buyers looking for a large battery, 5G connectivity and a slim design, provided Vivo gets the pricing right.
