Nothing appears to be working on a new pair of wireless earbuds, dubbed the Nothing Buds Pro 2. The earbuds have now appeared on the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) database, revealing the model number, battery details and design of the charging case.
The FCC listing identifies the upcoming earbuds with model number B195 and carries the FCC ID 2AZEQ-B195C. The listing also includes regulatory label artwork that explicitly mentions the Buds Pro 2 name.
Nothing Buds Pro 2 FCC Listing Reveals Battery Details
According to the FCC documents, the charging case of the Nothing Buds Pro 2 will feature a 3.8V, 460mAh lithium-ion battery, with a rated energy capacity of 1.748Wh. The case has an input rating of 5V/0.6A, while its output is rated at 5V/0.24A. This suggests that the charging case could support up to 3W of wired charging, although the FCC listing does not explicitly mention the supported charging standard.
The FCC documents also show the charging case with a dedicated area for regulatory markings. The dimensions shown alongside the label are 26.45mm × 16.92mm, which appear to correspond to the regulatory label rather than the overall dimensions of the charging case. For comparison, the existing CMF Buds Pro 2 also uses a 460mAh charging case battery.
Nothing Buds Pro 2 Case Design Revealed
The FCC filing also includes an outline of the charging case, giving us a look at its rear design. The case appears to have a rounded rectangular shape with a large recessed inner section and a curved lower portion.
The regulatory label is positioned towards the upper-left section of the rear panel. While the FCC documents do not reveal the earbuds themselves, the case artwork provides an early indication of what the final product could look like.
The FCC listing confirms the Nothing Buds Pro 2 branding, although the company has not yet officially announced the earbuds.
