The Xiaomi 18 series is expected to be announced officially in China this month, with the lineup comprising the Xiaomi 18, Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max. The phones are expected to debut with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, the company’s first 2nm mobile chipset. Xiaomi has traditionally launched its flagship series in China around September, followed by global availability in the first quarter of the following year. However, a new certification could indicate a change to that timeline.
Xiaomi 18 receives NCC certification
A forthcoming Xiaomi phone has now appeared in Taiwan’s NCC certification database. The certification identifies the device with model number 2611FPNFAG and confirms that it is a Xiaomi mobile phone. The same device was also spotted at Europe’s EEC certification back in July. Speculations surrounding the device suggests that it could be global version of the Xiaomi 18.
The NCC lists the Xiaomi 18 in 256GB and 512GB storage configurations, with the certification noting at least 198GB and 469GB of usable storage, respectively. The device is also rated IP68 for dust and water resistance.
The certification further lists the charger model number as MDY-19-EX. We cross-checked these details with the TÜV Rheinland certification and found that this charger supports 100W charging. The listing also reveals that the device will offer an IP68-level dust and water resistance.

The timing of this certification is particularly interesting. The Xiaomi 17 debuted in China in September last year, while its global version appeared in the NCC database towards the end of October. It eventually reached international markets in February 2026. With the Xiaomi 18 showing up at NCC more than a month earlier, Xiaomi could be preparing for a quicker global rollout this time around.
There is another possibility. Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in December last year, so the Xiaomi 18 Ultra could follow a similar schedule this year. If that happens, the December launch could be a global event, with the Xiaomi 18 global version potentially debuting alongside it. For now, however, this remains an assumption, and it would be better to wait for more information before drawing any conclusions.
