It seems like Tecno is setting up the stage to launch a new Pova 8 Pro. Today, we spotted the upcoming device on the TUV certification website, which reveals the battery and charging support. The smartphone has also appeared on the FCC certification platform, giving us a closer look at its design and connectivity features.

The TUV Rheinland certification listing confirms that the upcoming smartphone carries the model number “LK7”. The listing reveals that the device will pack a large 6,340mAh battery. However, Tecno could market it as a 6,500mAh typical battery capacity at launch, which is common in the smartphone industry.
The listing reveals support for charging inputs up to 11V, which indicates that the Tecno Pova 8 Pro could offer fast wired charging support. However, the exact charging speed has not been confirmed yet.
FCC Certification Reveals Design and Connectivity Details
The Tecno Pova 8 Pro has also been spotted on the FCC certification database with the same LK7 model number. The FCC documents reveal several additional details about the smartphone, including its dimensions and network support.
According to the FCC listing, the smartphone measures 162mm x 77mm x 8mm. The documents also confirm support for 5G connectivity, NFC, Bluetooth, dual-band Wi-Fi, and multiple LTE and NR bands.
Interestingly, the FCC schematic images reveal the rear design of the device. The smartphone appears to feature a large triangle-shaped camera module placed at the top-left corner, housing dual camera sensors and an LED flash setup. The documents also indicate the presence of NFC support positioned on the rear panel.
The FCC label information further suggests that the device could launch in a 512GB storage variant paired with 12GB RAM. However, Tecno may introduce additional storage and RAM configurations at launch.
At the moment, Tecno has not officially confirmed the launch timeline or specifications of the Pova 8 Pro. However, with both TUV and FCC certifications now live, the smartphone could make its debut in the coming weeks.
Xpert Take
The TUV certification strongly suggests that Tecno is focusing on battery life with the upcoming Pova 8 Pro. A battery capacity above 6,000mAh could make the smartphone appealing to users looking for extended gaming and multimedia usage without frequent charging.
Meanwhile, the FCC certification reveals that the company is also planning to offer modern connectivity features, including 5G, NFC, and high storage options. The slim 8mm profile combined with a large battery also indicates that Tecno may try to balance both design and endurance with the Pova 8 Pro.
The remaining details, including the chipset, display specifications, camera hardware, and official charging speed, are still under wraps. More information is expected to surface as the launch gets closer.
