Redmi Note 17 Pro / Pro Max Certification Reveals Key Specs Ahead of Global Launch

Redmi Note 17 Pro

Redmi will unveil the Redmi Note 17 and Redmi Note 17 Pro on July 14 in China. At the same time, the global version of the Redmi Note 17 series is busy securing certifications across different markets. In the latest development, the Redmi Note 17 Pro / Pro Max has appeared in the database of Taiwan’s NCC certification platform, revealing key details well ahead of its official global launch.

Redmi Note 17 Pro / Pro Max NCC certified

The screenshots above show that a Xiaomi phone with model number 2609FRA74G has been certified by Taiwan’s NCC and Eurofins certification platforms. The same device has previously appeared on certification platforms such as TKDN (Indonesia) and EEC (Europe). While it is believed to be a Redmi Note series phone, it is still unclear whether it is the Redmi Note 17 Pro or the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max.

The device will be available in multiple configurations, including 8GB + 256GB, 8GB + 512GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB. It also includes a microSD card slot that supports storage expansion of up to 2TB.

The certification reveals that the device packs a BM95 battery. According to its TÜV Rheinland certification, the battery has a typical capacity of 9,210mAh. The same certification also reveals that the accompanying MDY-19-EX charger supports up to 100W fast charging.

The listing further confirms support for connectivity features such as 5G NR, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth Low Energy, NFC, and USB Type-C. It also carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Xpert Take

Xiaomi usually unveils the Redmi Note series in China around August, but this year the company is launching the lineup earlier in July. It typically introduces the global variants several months later, usually around January of the following year, even if they appear on certification platforms shortly after the Chinese launch.

At present, there is no official word on the global launch timeframe for the Redmi Note 17 series. If Xiaomi follows its usual release schedule, the Redmi Note 17 lineup could debut in global markets by January 2027.
