Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 series is in the works and is expected to launch in July alongside the next-generation foldables. The smartwatch lineup is expected to include the Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic. Rumours have revealed that both models may arrive in multiple size options.

Ahead of the expected launch, the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic have received approval from the 3C certification platform in China. While the certification does not reveal anything significant, it does hint that the Watch 8 series is inching towards launch.

  • As can be seen in the above screenshots, two upcoming Samsung watches bearing model numbers SM-L3350 and SM-L5050 have received 3C certification in China.
  • According to past reports, these model numbers correspond to the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic.
  • The certification reveals that both models support LTE connectivity.
  • It also reveals that the Watch 8 duo will support 10W charging and may come with the EP-T1510 travel adapter.
  • Last week, the Galaxy Watch 8 variants were spotted on the FCC certification platform. It revealed support for LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/a, Bluetooth 5.3, GNSS, NFC, 10W wired charging, and wireless charging.
  • These specs are also expected to be available on the Classic edition.

Last year, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 in July. While the Watch 8 series is expected to break cover alongside the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 in July this year, there is no clarity on whether it will launch a successor to the Watch Ultra.
