Poco C81 Pro received NBTC certification, expected to launch soon

Poco C71

The upcoming Poco C81 Pro has received approval from Thailand’s NBTC certification platform. Since it is a C-series phone, it will be a budget-friendly offering. The same device is likely to be rebranded as the Redmi A7 Pro in some other markets. Here’s a look at what to expect from the C81 Pro.

The above screenshot shows that the Poco C81 Pro bears the model number 25128PC17G. The listing confirms that it is a 4G LTE phone, meaning it lacks support for 5G connectivity.

The same device was spotted at the Indonesian SDPPI certification in January. At that time, it appeared with Poco C81 branding and did not include “Pro” in its moniker. It has been previously revealed through a GSMA IMEI database listing that the device has other model number variants, such as 25128PC17L for Latin America and 25128PC17I for India.

Poco C81 / Poco C81 Pro specifications (rumoured)

According to reports, the Poco C81 / C81 Pro may arrive with a 6.9-inch LCD panel that offers HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to run on HyperOS 3-based Android 15 Go edition.

The C81 could be powered by the Unisoc T7250 chipset, 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM, up to 128GB of storage, and a 6,000mAh battery with 15W charging. For photography, it may feature a 13-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel rear camera.

Xpert Take

The NBTC certification suggests that Poco is preparing to expand its entry-level lineup with another affordable device aimed at users who prioritise battery life and large displays over flagship-grade performance. With a 4G-only setup, the brand appears to be targeting regions where budget pricing remains a key factor.

If the rumoured specifications turn out to be accurate, the Poco C81 Pro could appeal to first-time smartphone buyers or those seeking a reliable secondary device. The inclusion of Android Go edition also indicates a focus on optimised performance for lower-end hardware.
