Poco X8 Pro Geekbench listing appears ahead of launch

Poco X8 Pro Max

Poco is expected to soon unveil the Poco X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max. These devices are expected to hit the global market first before landing in India. Ahead of the expected launch, the global edition of the X8 Pro has surfaced on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, revealing its chipset and other details.

Poco X8 Pro Geekbench listing

The Poco X8 Pro’s global version has appeared on Geekbench with model number 2511FPC34G. The listing reveals that it is powered by a MediaTek chip, which includes four cores operating at 2.20GHz, three cores working at 3.20GHz, and a prime core ticking at 3.40GHz. For graphics, the chip is equipped with Mali-G720 MC8 graphics.

These details are enough to conclude that the X8 Pro is powered by the Dimensity 8500, which could be advertised as the Dimensity 8500 Ultra. The Geekbench listing also reveals the inclusion of 12GB of RAM and Android 16, which may have the HyperOS 3 skin on top. It scored 1708 in Geekbench 6.5’s single-core test and 6297 in the multi-core test.

Poco X8 Pro specifications (rumoured)

The Poco X8 Pro seems to be a tweaked version of China-exclusive Redmi Turbo 5. It is expected to feature a 6.59-inch OLED 1.5K 120Hz display, a 20-megapixel front camera, and a 50-megapixel (OIS) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) dual-camera setup.

Under the hood, its Dimensity 8500 Ultra chip could be accompanied by up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage. It may pack a 6,500mAh battery with 100W charging support.

Xpert Take

The Poco X8 Pro appears to be positioned as a performance-focused mid-premium device, balancing flagship-grade processing power with practical hardware choices. While the reduction in battery capacity compared to the Redmi Turbo 5 may raise some concerns, a 6,500mAh unit paired with efficient silicon should still deliver solid day-to-day endurance for most users.

If the rumoured specifications hold true, the device could appeal to users looking for strong performance, fast charging, and a capable camera setup without moving into higher price brackets. The inclusion of LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage suggests that Poco is prioritising speed and responsiveness, which may enhance gaming and multitasking experiences.
