Last month, a report revealed the existence of the Realme C83 5G, an upcoming entry-level 5G smartphone. The device is expected to be positioned below the Realme C85 5G, which debuted in November 2025 at a starting price of Rs 14,999. While the company has not officially confirmed the handset yet, we have obtained key details about its pricing and variants from offline retail sources.
Realme C83 5G price and variants
From what we have gathered, it seems that the Realme C83 5G will arrive in three configurations, including 4GB+64GB, 4GB+128GB, and 6GB+128GB options. These variants are said to carry Market Operating Prices (MOP) of Rs 13,499, Rs 14,499, and Rs 17,499, respectively.
A previous leak suggested that the C83 carries the model number RMX5256 and will be available in two colour options, namely Sprouting Green and Blooming Purple. Other specifications of the device remain under wraps for now.
The Realme C83 is expected to succeed last year’s Realme C73 5G, which featured a 6.67-inch IPS LCD screenwith HD+ resolution, a Dimensity 6300 chipset, 4GB RAM, up to 128GB storage, and a 6,000mAh battery with 15W charging. For photography, the predecessor offered a 32-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera.
Xpert Take
With a starting price of around Rs 13,499, the Realme C83 5G could become a strong contender in the budget 5G smartphone segment, especially for users looking for affordable connectivity and reliable everyday performance. If Realme retains the large battery and practical hardware approach seen in its predecessor, the device may appeal to students and first-time 5G buyers.
The pricing also places it in direct competition with entry-level offerings from brands like Redmi, Vivo, and Lava. However, its success will largely depend on whether Realme introduces meaningful upgrades in display quality, processing power, and camera performance compared to the previous generation.
