Nothing will be holding a launch event on March 5 to unveil the Nothing Phone (4a) series. While there is no official word about what else is going to launch alongside the new phones, it is speculated that the brand may also unveil a new pair of over-the-ear headphones. The rumor mill has already been speculating about its moniker for the past few weeks. Now, a new certification has emerged to reveal its final marketing name.
Nothing Headphone (a) IMDA certified

As can be seen above, the Nothing Headphone (a) has been approved by Singapore’s IMDA authority. The listing describes it as wireless Bluetooth headphones with model number B186. In all likelihood, the Headphone (a) may debut with the Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro in the coming week.
Nothing Headphone (a): What to expect?
The rumour mill is yet to reveal concrete details about the Headphone (a), but recent reports suggest that it will be an affordable alternative to the existing Headphone (1), which was priced at Rs 21,999 at launch. So there is a possibility that the Headphone (a) may cost around Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 in India.
To cut down on cost, the Headphone (a) is rumoured to feature a plastic build, and it may lack a few premium features. It is expected to arrive in multiple shades, such as black, white, pink, and yellow, and it may cost 159 euros in Europe.
Xpert Take
Nothing appears to be expanding its audio lineup with a more accessible option, which could help the brand reach a wider audience. If the Headphone (a) arrives at a lower price point, it may appeal to users looking for Nothing’s signature design without paying flagship-level pricing.
However, reducing costs often involves compromises, such as material choices or fewer premium features. The success of the Headphone (a) will likely depend on whether Nothing can maintain sound quality and user experience while positioning it as a value-focused alternative.
