Dell XPS 14 and XPS 16 Return to India With Lighter Designs, Intel Core Ultra 3 Chips, and Tandem OLED Displays

Dell has launched the new XPS 14 and XPS 16 in India, marking the return of its premium XPS lineup to the country.

The redesigned laptops feature a CNC-machined aluminum chassis, Gorilla Glass 3, a centered XPS logo on the lid, and a thinner overall profile than previous-generation models. According to Dell, the XPS 14 measures 14.6 mm thick and weighs 1.36 kg, while the XPS 16 weighs 1.65 kg.

The XPS 14 and XPS 16 come with InfinityEdge display options, including a power-efficient 2K LCD and higher-end 2.8K or 3.2K Tandem OLED touch panels. Dell says the Tandem OLED panels offer better brightness, longer lifespan, and improved color stability, while using up to 30% less power than previous-generation OLED displays. The laptops also feature a 10 W quad-speaker setup, an 8 MP/4K webcam module with a narrower optical design, and a traditional function row, which returns after feedback from XPS users.

Intel Core Ultra 3 Performance, Battery Life Claims, and India Pricing

Both laptops are powered by Intel Core Ultra 3 series processors, with configurations going up to the Intel Core Ultra X7 358H. Dell says the new chips, paired with built-in Intel Arc graphics, deliver over 50% faster graphics performance compared to the previous generation. The company also claims up to 57% faster AI performance on the XPS 14 and up to 78% faster AI performance on the XPS 16, based on internal testing.

Dell has also redesigned the thermal system, using larger and thinner fans that are claimed to improve airflow, reduce base temperatures by 8 degrees, and cut noise by 36%. Battery life is another major claim here, with Dell stating up to 27 hours of Netflix streaming and over 40 hours of local video playback, depending on configuration and usage conditions.

In India, the Dell XPS 14 starts at Rs 2,05,990, while the XPS 16 starts at Rs 2,78,550. Dell is also offering bank cashback, zero down payment finance options, no-cost EMI, discounted accidental damage protection, warranty extension offers, and bundled accessory deals. The laptops will be available through Dell.com, Dell Exclusive Stores, select large-format retail stores, and multi-brand outlets.
